In order to easily restore the press stroke after a tool change, the WDGA 58B absolute encoder is used to accurately measure the gear revolutions. This is fitted to an electric drive and can automatically control the height of the press stroke.
The WDGA encoders are also available with various absolute interfaces and mechanical designs.

Encoders are used to accurately determine the transport speed of a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt must have a precisely controllable transport speed so that parts can be accurately placed in a conveyor line. The incremental encoder can be mounted directly on the shaft or via a coupling on the conveyor belt. This can be used to determine the distance travelled or the speed. The encoders are available in programmable versions and with various HTL and TTL interfaces.
Coordination of the bottle supply
On the bottling line, precise bottle feeding is required. The exact position of the products and the speed of the feed must be synchronized and precise to avoid collisions. The non-contact optical speedMATE® sensor can be installed on the conveyor line. This enables precise control of the feed speed and ensures problem-free processing of the products. Encoders with absolute interfaces such as IO-Link can also be used to ensure precise positioning of the products on the roundabout.

Monitoring the speed of the winding head
An efficient and ecological number of windings as well as monitoring the speed of the winding head are important criteria when controlling winding processes. The high-resolution WDGA 58B absolute encoder with EtherNet/IP™ fieldbus interface can be easily and cost-effectively integrated into the machine control system of the stretch machine and provides the control system with the necessary data. The encoders in the WDGA 58B series are also available with other absolute interfaces.
